Jane Rickard
Jane Rickard is an associate professor at Leeds University in seventeenth-century English literature. She specialises in early modern literature, and explores the relationship between literature and politics, the practices of reading and reception, and the cultures of manuscript and print.
After completing a PhD at the University of Warwick, Dr Rickard taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Lancaster, and the University of Sheffield, before taking up her current post at Leeds University. She teaches on a range of topics including Renaissance Literature, Shakespeare, and Writing and Gender in 17th century England. She is currently working on a project on Ben Jonson and the Construction of the Reader.
